Biomass Installation in Opole
On 19 July, Mostostal Warszawa signed a contract with PGE Elektrownia Opole SA power plant for the “Construction of Direct Biomass Feeding Installation to Boiler no. 2 in PGE Elektrownia Opole SA.”
The investment project being an ex ample of a new generation biomass installation will enable Opole power plant to produce renewable energy. Powdered biomass will be fed directly to the boiler combustion chamber with the use of special burners. The fuel will be agro pellets.
The installation will consist of storage system allowing to accept and store biomass and comminution circuits. We will also be responsible for K-2 boiler burner system and power system for burning biomass in the boiler together with coal dust.
The contract will be executed by the Katowice based Branch Division of Industry and Energy of Mostostal Warszawa together with our partners in the consortium: Przedsiębiorstwo Modernizacji Urządzeń Energetycznych „REMAK” and PrzedsiębiorstwoInwestycyjno-Remontowym Energetyki i Przemysłu „REMAK-ROZRUCH”.
The works to be completed in November 2012 are worth gross PLN 53.35 million.
