Municipal Waste Processing and Disposal Plant in Sosnowiec

On 08.09.2014, a sorting line together with a number of neighbouring buildings implemented under the "Construction of a complex waste management system in Sosnowiec" project, co-financed by the European Union Cohesion Fund, were accepted and given to use.

The aim of the implementation was to bring the existing Municipal Waste Processing and Disposal Plant in Sosnowiec into compliance with requirements of Polish and EU regulations, and enable performance of assumed functions, as well as provide the City of Sosnowiec with possibilities for further, long-term waste disposal.

Within the project implemented by Mostostal Warszawa S.A. buildings in three adjacent and interrelated functional areas marked with the symbols - "A", "B" and "C" - were constructed.

In the indicated areas accompanying infrastructure, ensuring the supply of media in the required amounts, was also constructed. It included a MV cable line with a transformer station for power supply of pumping stations and reservoirs for water drainage, rain and domestic waste, squares, roads, etc., which ensure proper functioning of the system between the mentioned sectors.

All planned buildings will create a structure for processing and disposal of waste generated in Sosnowiec.
