Flood protection for the city of Gołdap

The scope of our work included:

• construction of a front dam and a weir at km 64+300 of the Gołdap River; 
• shaping the retention tank with a surface area of 23.8 ha; 
• construction of fish ladders;
• band drainage system around buildings located below the estimated level of ground water, along with a pumping station and drainage outlets;
• construction of an exit road from the public road along with access to the weir; 
• construction of an overhead power line over the Gołdap River and execution of electric connections to the groundwater pumping station.

Date of signing the agreement: 22 July 2010
Date of commissioning the facility: 24 October 2012

• Contractor: Mostostal Warszawa
• Contract value: PLN 7.0 million
