Extension of the Katowice Wharf mooring line in the Port of Szczecin Location of the investment: area of the Port of Szczecin in the north-western part of the Katowice Peninsula, near the Katowice Waterfront.

The subject of the contract was to extend the Katowice Wharf mooring line in the Port of Szczecin by 60 meters. It will be made in the form of a dolphin harbour, consisting of 4 dolphins. Each of the dolphins is built on four reinforced concrete piles in steel pipes (Ø 1220-1225 mm) with a length of 28 m and topped with a reinforced concrete pile cap with dimensions of 5.0 x 5.0 m in projection and a height of 2.2 m. The dolphins are spaced every 15 meters.

As part of the investment, a bridge for the support of dolphins was also made. Its structure is steel and has a length of 104 m. It is placed on 20 pipe piles filled with reinforced concrete. Dredging works related to deepening the basin at the wharf in the area of the extended mooring line to the technical depth of 10.5 m were carried out. The Zabrzańskie Wharf was strengthened with embankment stone and a supply low voltage power line that lights the bridge and the dolphin structures as well as a navigation light were made. Demolition works focused on the existing 4 dolphin structures made of IIIN profiles.
