Construction of a waste management plant in Myślenice along with the supply of equipment

As part of the contract, we built the plant and supplied it with the necessary equipment.

The heart of the plant is a multi-functional hall housing two of the most important elements from the point of view of reducing the volume of stored waste:

  • a sorting plant, i.e. a place where all the waste is brought; and,
  • a composting plant, i.e. a place where organic waste is assigned.

The installation is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for sorting and processing waste. It meets the BAT (Best Available Technique) standard used to determine the volume of emissions of pollution for larger industrial plants in the European Union. The applied solutions allow for the recovery of even up to 60% of the waste mass. Less than 40% of all municipal waste brought to the plant ends up in the 1.5 hectare ballast quarters of the plant.

The landfill site will service the Myślenice and Limanowa poviats – in total 60,000 tons of waste annually. The site will operate for 15 years.

Construction of the plant cost PLN 47 million, over PLN 26 million of which was derived from co-financing as part of the Cohesion Fund of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment, PLN 18 million from a loan granted by the Province Fund for Environmental Protection in Kraków and PLN 4 million from the commune’s budget.
