Construction of building for the human centrifuge – a new flight simulator with accompanying infrastructure
The scope of the work encompassed:
- foundations of high quality reinforced concrete,
- reinforced concrete hall with a diameter of 22 m and height of 11 m,
- and office and technical – in total 2 storey (basement, ground floor and first floor) of 1 215 m² of area.
Because of the stresses during operation of the centrifuge, foundation works were preceded by geological studies on the depth of the 10 meters and in the control and server rooms have anti-static flooring. In newly built facility was placed training flight simulator of the latest generation where pilots of air forces can prepare, among others, to complicated and dangerous air missions (F-16 and MIG-29 training).
