Redevelopment of the existing old Cargo Terminal building for temporary pre-boarding zone Non-Schengen departure lounges

The scope of the contract involves a comprehensive redevelopment of the old cargo terminal building at Kraków-Balice Airport. The work will start with the partial demolition of the existing structure, followed by a full reorganization and redesign of the interiors to accommodate temporary Non-Schengen departure lounges.

A key element of the project will be the creation of a functional connection between the redeveloped building and the main passenger terminal, achieved through the construction of a connector at the first-floor level. The plan also includes the construction of two new staircases to link upper levels with ground level.

Additionally, internal installations will be rebuilt and adapted to meet the new functional needs of the facility.

The redevelopment will also cover the immediate surroundings of the building – the so-called forecourt – which will be arranged to ensure safe and convenient service for future passengers. All works will be carried out in line with the highest safety standards and with respect to the airport's operational continuity.
