The project was realized in the framework of the Operational Programme Development of Eastern Poland. Modernisation of the building constructed in the 1970s encompassed reconstruction of the didactic rooms, thermomodernisation and connecting the whole building to high-speed network.

The contract included also extension of the library, construction of driveways, additional staircase and a elevator which facilitate access to the building for the people with disabilities.

The main objective of the project was construction of new wing accomadating complex of specialist laboratories with auditoria, seminar and lecture rooms, among others, a conference room for 300 people, available for all students of PWSZ in Elbląg.
