Modernisation and Extension of the Municipal Waste Utilisation Plant in Krosno

The range of work encompassed an increase in the waste acceptance capacity of the landfill site from 28,000 tons to 35,000 tons per year by raising the embankment crown and increasing the capacity of the basin from 500,000 m³ to 700,000 m³, as well as changing the leachate processing technology and planting of trees and bushes in the direct protection zone. As part of the contract, a waste utilisation plant was built, equipped with technological lines for the sorting, pulverising, pressing and baling of waste, along with a yard for compost storage. At the same time, the technological line for processing sludge in the sewage treatment plant existing in the area of the landfill site was modernised.
