Didactic building for the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań

New edifice of Faculty of Law and Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań is a modern constrution which guarantees funcionality of the educational rooms and presents aestethics and attractive look of the façades.

Didactic building accomodates 12 lecture rooms, including a 400-seat auditorium, 30 seminar rooms and classrooms as well as court room for practical classes. The last part of the complex is library of the faculty. The lecture room for 400 people has a spherical shape outside the edifice so that it was called dinosour egg. The façades of the segments of the building were covered with copper sheet. Parts of the façade are covered with clasical copper mesh of the normal color while the spherical outdoor wall of the auditorium was finished with brown oxidised copper sheet cladding with a thickness of 6,5 mm. The copper mesh was also applied on the ceilings inside the building. Characteristics of the building: Total surface: 14 000 m². Amount of copper used for elements of the building: mesh for the façade: 3 000 m². Oxidised copper used for the façade of the auditorium: 3 500 m². Mesh for the ceilings inside the building: 3 200 m² .
