Praszka bypass within DK45
On 20 May this year Mostostal Warszawa signed a contract with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways for the design and construction of the Praszka bypass along the national road No. DK45. The contract value is PLN 171.5 million.
The new route will be in considerable distance from built-up areas, thus it will ensure the ease of transit traffic, creating a combination of a supra-regional transit route connecting the Wielkopolskie, Opolskie and Śląskie voivodships. The implementation of the investment will also enable improved transportation to the investment areas, affecting the development of economic activities in area located in the vicinity of the national road No. DK45 and the Opolskie Voivodeship.
Description of the investment
The planned bypass will be of the GP technical grade and, it will consist of a single carriageway with two lanes with a lifting capacity of 11.5 t per axle. As part of the investment, 10 bridges and four roundabouts will be built. Environmental protection and road safety devices will also be built and technical infrastructure will be reconstructed (water and sewage network, gas, electricity, telecommunications and drainage devices). The length of the bypass will be 12.8 km. The implementation of the investment is planned in the "design and build" formula.
The beginning of the route will be located at the foot of the existing national road DK42 / 45, and then it will bypass the city of Gorzów Śląski from the west, and the city of Praszka from the east and end with a connection to DK45 on the north side of Kowale.

Maximum warranty period: 10 years
Security for proper performance: 10% of the contract value.
