Construction of roads and parkings in the area of passenger terminal for low-cost and chartered transport in Modlin Airport for Mazowiecki Port Lotniczy Warszawa – Modlin sp. z o.o.

The winned conctract was ancilliary to the contract for construction of the passenger terminal in Modlin Airport that is being realized by Mostostal Warszawa. 

Construction of roads and parkings included aboveground parkings for passengers and staff and two-lane road which is extented from road no. 61 to the new roundabout. The roundabout distributes traffic as follows: to the passenger terminal, to the parkings, to the airport service buildings and technical facilities and Border Inspection Post. There is 877 parking places in total in three parkings.      

The consortium tasks included also design and execution of parking system which will allow to charge fees for parking. The works also encompassed lighting and rainwater discharge system. All the works were commissioned without any problems. It does not happens often – points out Robert Nowak, contract manager.

The total surface of roads, pavements, parkings with concrete, asphalt concrete and pavings stones surface is 65 000 m².

The contract was realized before schedule. The last entry in the construction log book concerning completion of the works was dated 21th June. The contract expiration date was forseen for 15 July 2012.
