National Road No. 2 on the section of the Siedlce ring road

The Warsaw branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways entrusted Mostostal Warszawa with reconstruction of National Road No. 2 on the section of the Siedlce ring road. The contract in the amount of PLN 33 million was concluded on 14 July 2008.

The length of the ring road modernized by Mostostal is just over 10 km. It starts in the town of Iganie and ends in Ujanów. In addition to revitalization of the road surface, the company was also responsible for construction of new and modernization of existing engineering facilities. Seven road culverts were demolished and replaced with new ones. Four viaducts and a bridge were renovated. Mostostal also built two roundabouts, one in the village of Ujanów, and the second at the intersection of National Road No. 2 with National Road No. 63.

The Siedlce ring road is not the only task entrusted to Mostostal Warszawa implemented within the framework of reconstruction works of National Road No. 2. In November 2007, the company completed, prior to the planned deadline, the reconstruction of a 31 km section of National Road No. 2, running from the border of the Mazowieckie Province to the beginning of the Biała Podlaska ring road. Currently, the Biała Podlaska ring road is being implemented and its reconstruction will last until July 2009.
