Marshal's Office in Szczecin - first building nearing completion
Work is nearing completion on the first building of the new headquarters of the Marshal's Office in Szczecin.
The investment is divided into two tasks. The first concerns the reconstruction of a building with two underground storeys and four above-ground storeys. Thermal modernisation of the building was carried out, involving the use of equipment and technical and technological solutions aimed at minimising heat losses and significantly reducing operating costs. This building is now complete and ready for use.
The second task is the construction of a demonstration passive building with two underground levels (with a garage) and six above-ground levels. Here, the construction of the building has already been completed and the finishing and installation work is in progress.
- The investment carried out by Mostostal Warszawa is the only seat of a provincial government in Poland created within the framework of passive construction. The scale of the challenge we have taken on is also underlined by the fact that for both buildings we are in the final stage of obtaining the BREEAM certificate and for the Task 2 building the Passivhaus Institut accreditation in Darmstadt. This confirms that the building meets a number of stringent conditions relating to the use of environmentally friendly materials, saving on water consumption and maintaining adequate air quality – says Marcin Szymborski, Group Contract Director.
The new office will be located at Piłsudskiego Street 40-42 and at Mazowiecka Street 14. Both buildings will provide accessibility to all functions for the disabled, technological solutions such as equipping the facility with devices for obtaining energy from renewable sources, and parking spaces adapted for charging electric cars will also be provided.
