On 20 March 2009, Mostostal Warszawa SA signed a contract with the Capital Authority for the City Development (SZRM) for the execution of the Papal Cross. The contractor was chosen in a single source procurement procedure. The contract is worth PLN 695,000. Mostostal has 2 months (from 2 April till the end of May 2009) for assembling the cross and developing a 300-meter area in its vicinity.
