The Role of Women in the Digitalization Process in Construction – Entrepreneurship Forum
On International Women's Day, March 8, the Women's Entrepreneurship Forum took place in sunny Sopot, organized by the WICCI Poland-India Foundation. The event, held under the honorary patronage of the Pomeranian Voivode, the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, and the Mayors of Gdańsk and Sopot, aims to promote female entrepreneurship, highlight the diversity of women's professional activities, and support their personal development.
This year, the event was partnered with the buildingSMART Poland association, of which Mostostal Warszawa is a corporate member. The association is dedicated to the broad field of digitalization in construction, with a focus on implementing open standards in the industry.
A discussion panel on the digital transformation of the construction sector—specifically, the role of women in this process—was held during the conference. The active participation of Anna Rydza, President of the association, and classification expert Elżbieta Wielechowska, highlighted the crucial role of women in this transformation. Mostostal Warszawa was represented on the panel by Agata Muchla.
Throughout the discussion, the phrase "digitalization is female" was frequently mentioned, reflecting the reality within the Digitalization and Innovation Office, where women are undoubtedly a driving force. The panelists reached positive conclusions, unanimously agreeing that digital transformation brings a fresh perspective to the construction industry and fosters positive changes. They also noted that competencies are playing an increasingly significant role in recruitment and career development, contributing to a more open and inclusive job market.
