Strzyżów Bypass officially opened!

31 January 2020 Strzyżów bypass was officially opened. The project was carried out in 2018-2019 by the consortium of Mostostal Warszawa and Mostostal Kielce.

The ceremony was attended by, among others: Andrzej Adamczyk, Minister of Infrastructure, Rafał Weber, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Grzegorz Puda, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, Władysław Ortyl, Marshal of the Podkarpackie Voivodship, Jolanta Sawicka, Deputy Voivode of Podkarpackie, Bogdan Rzońca, Member of the European Parliament, Kazimierz Gołojuch, Member of Parliament, Bogdan Żybura, Staroste of Strzyżów, Waldemar Góra, Mayor of Strzyżów, Piotr Miąso, General Director of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Road Authority, as well as representatives of Mostostal Warszawa, among others: Sławomir Barczak, Director of Infrastructure Area, Piotr Roszak, Director of Production in the Infrastructure Area and Marcin Mosek, Contract Manager and Mostostal Kielce: Wiktor Adach, Director of the Infrastructure Division and Przemysław Wójcicki, Construction Manager.

About the beltway

The Strzyżów Bypass is part of Voivodeship Road No. 988. The construction of the beltway, a task carried out by the consortium of Mostostal Warszawa and Mostostal Kielce, has allowed to redirect transit traffic outside the city center of Strzyżów and has improved road communication on the Babica-Twierdza section. The over six-kilometer route is a single-road G class road with two 3.5 m wide lanes. As part of the works, 25 engineering structures were built, including: bridges (three on Wisłok river and one object on Stobnica River and Różanka stream), road viaducts and culverts.
