S7 Załuski–Modlin: The section completed by Mostostal Warszawa S.A. has been opened to traffic

22 December 2025

The section of the expressway between the Załuski and Modlin junctions has been opened to drivers. Obtaining an occupancy permit has enabled the implementation of permanent traffic management and full use of the route. All that remains to be completed is the opening of the Service Areas.

"The S7 section we completed is a large-scale and highly complex project. We performed the work while maintaining traffic continuity, which created additional challenges. I thank the entire team involved in this project for their professionalism and determination," said Jorge Calabuig Ferre, President of the Management Board of Mostostal Warszawa S.A.

"This project significantly improves the accessibility of northern Mazovia, increases traffic safety, and shortens travel times between the regions," emphasized Dariusz Klimczak, Minister of Infrastructure, during a press briefing.

A key element of the northern exit from Warsaw

As part of the project, Mostostal Warszawa S.A. designed and constructed approximately 12 km of a dual carriageway expressway with three lanes in each direction, built along the existing National Road No. 7. The investment included the construction of two road junctions – Załuski and Ostrzykowizna – as well as a section of the new alignment of National Road No. 62 near the Ostrzykowizna junction. Parallel roads were also constructed to serve adjacent areas, along with environmental protection facilities and modern road safety solutions.

Organizational Challenge

The project was implemented in a manner that minimized disruption to drivers. Work was carried out without restricting the use of the existing route. A key element was the early completion of the local road system, which took over traffic during the main construction works.

The S7 Załuski–Modlin section is a key element of the northern exit from Warsaw, an important step in the creation of a modern and safe road infrastructure in Poland.

The contract value was PLN 635.06 million gross.
