Over 170 employees after additional OHS training
In July, the OHS Department started a pilot program of training engineers in the field of OHS.
- In matters of health and safety we do more than required by the regulations, because we treat the safety of employees as a priority - says Jacek Szymanek, Member of the Management Board.
The aim of the program is to ensure maximum safety at construction sites run by Mostostal Warszawa by raising awareness of the safe organization of the construction process and the role and responsibility of supervision. The training consists of five parts: (1) accident and accident cause statistics; (2) the role of supervision in building site safety; (3) supervision responsibility in the construction process; (4) identification of hazards on the construction site; (5) providing information on accidents and their consequences for construction sites and workers. The training takes about 2 hours, each participant receives a certificate.
The pilot of the training program will last until October 2020. Until today (September 3), training sessions have been held at 18 construction sites and 174 Mostostal engineers have participated in them.
Next year, it is planned to extend the training program also to subcontractors' employees, as well as to introduce thematic training (work at height / excavations / closed space / vertical transport / role of work permits).
