In March 2022, one of the more technologically challenging infrastructure constructions in Poland began. It is an over 10-kilometer section of the S19 expressway between Rzeszow and Babica. The scope of work includes the construction of the first 2.3-kilometer-long tunnel in Podkarpacie.

Almost the entire construction site has already been dehumusified, and earthworks and work on engineering structures are underway. Installation of the "Karpatki," the machine that will begin tunnelling in the third quarter of this year, has begun.
