New building of Medical University of Silesia opened
Mostostal Warszawa has succesfully completed the expansion of Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (Silesian Medical School). Didactic Centre with Division of Laboratory Medicine rised near the existing buildings of Faculty of Pharmacy under the supervision of South Branch Mostostal Warszawa.
The festive opening ceremony of Didactic Centre which is located on Jagiellońska Street in Sosnowiec was held on 4 December 2015. At the inauguration they were present among others: prof. dr hab. n. med. Przemysław Jałowiecki (rector of Medical University of Silesia) and on behalf of Mostostal Warszawa: Janusz Stanaszek (Director of South Branch), Maciej Popiołek (Contract Manager), Tomasz Rywacki (Cite Manager).
Didactic Centre, equipped with the state-of-the-art laboratories, will educate students of pharmacy, biotechnology and medical analysis at the highest level. Specialized laboratories held in the centre are provided with the most modern equipment and tools such as: laboratory tables and fume cupboards, special stocking cabinets for chemicals, cameras for educational purposes, smartboards. Multimedia seminar room will alllow to organize classes for students using modern equipment, including among others video conferencing system.
Value of contract amounts to PLN 11 mln gross and the construction lasted 17 months.
For the proper performance of contract was responsible team of: Maciej Popiołek (Contract Manager), Tomasz Rywacki (Cite Manager), Marcin Korecki (Earthwork Construction Manager), Marcin Ekiert (Electrical Construction Manager), Wojciech Cesarz (Sanitary Works Manager), Sandra Wójcik and Adriana Kleeberg.
