Mostostal Warszawa wins a new contract for construction of multi-family community buildings in Kraków

South Region of Mostostal Warszawa in consortium with Acciona Infraestructuras will execute the order in design and build formula for the Kraków City Hall . Multi-family buildings will be erected at J.K. Przyby and Zalesie Streets for PLN 44,5 mln gross. In an official signing the contract participated Janusz Stanaszek, Director of South Region. The investor was represented by Tadeusz Trzmiel, Deputy Mayor of the City Kraków and Janina Pokrywa, Director of Investment Department in the Kraków City Hall.    

Consortium of Mostostal Warszawa (leader) and Acciona Infraestructuras (partner) placed the best bid in a tender for the construction of multi-family community buildings in Cracow. The order includes comprehensive realization of the investment in design and build formula regarding community buildings which will house approximately 350 flats with service premises (library, nursery). Blocks without basement of maximum four storeys will rise in Dębniki district at J.K. Przyzby and Zalesie Street. Beyond the concept of urban planning and architecture Mostostal Warszawa is also obligated to design and obtain a permit for the realization of the roadworks (ZRID document) at Zalesie Street.  

We have signed an important contract in Cracow considering the local community needs. We will build residential estate in which families in difficult position will find shelter. It will be community flats provided by municipiality. Apart from building those blocks Mostostal Warszawa will also play a part in designing functional spaces, equipping the interior in accessories and components indispensable to live in, building from the basis friendly enviroment for the people who will create their home there. There is a lot of work ahead of us, but that effort is worth commitment. A roof over head will gain those families which are facing temporary housing problems or because of different reasons cannot afford their own accomodation – said Andrzej Goławski, President of the Management Board of Mostostal Warszawa.

According to the order, the investment is to be implemented in stages. Establishing number and scope of works of each construction fase will be left to consortium. However, each stage cannot last more than 24 months and the completion is conditioned by delivery of at least one completed building, fully prepared for use along with landscaping and occupancy permit.

– We are at the beginning of the process. The construction will be realized in the formula design and build. For the moment, we are preparing a concept for constructing those buildings. Once it will be accepted, our next step will be the realization of the construction project and obtaining permit for construction – adds Janusz Stanaszek, Director of South Region Mostostal Warszawa.

The task titled: Design and construction of complex of multi-family community buildings at J.K. Przyzby and Zalesie Streets includes also: 

  • connection to the utility network
  • flats fully completed for use including necessary equipment such as utilities, basic home inventory, etc
  • execution of accompanying infrastructure in particular: lighting, alleys, bicycle path, parkings, fenced playground for children, green zones with clean-up works of existing greenery and planting trees.

For the execution of the order is responsible South Region of Mostostal Warszawa leaded by Janusz Stanaszek. Maciej Popiołek was assigned as contract manager. The completion date is scheduled for 2017 in the case of delivering project design and for 2020 in the case of delivering last stage of the construction.
