The subject of the contract is the construction from scratch, in the "turnkey" formula, of a facility constituting a new, complete gas boiler with a rated power of 140 MWt and a fuel capacity of approx. 150.5 MWt, made in water-pipe technology, along with the necessary buildings, structures, construction equipment, installations and auxiliary devices, located in the production plant in Katowice.

- We are developing our portfolio of orders in energy construction. We have experience in the implementation of contracts in this area, including for companies belonging to the TAURON Group - says Jacek Szymanek, Member of the Management Board of Mostostal Warszawa.

- Investments planned in heat and power plants in Katowice and Czechowice Dziedzice are in line with the assumptions of the Polish Energy Policy until 2040, taking into account the European Union's climate goals related to the change of the fuel mix and transformation of generation sources in heating - says Paweł Strączyński, President of the Management Board of TAURON Polska Energia - Investments will increase also the security of heat supply and improve air quality in these cities - he adds.

Tauron Ciepło is the largest supplier of district heat in the Silesian-Dąbrowa agglomeration and one of the largest heating companies in Poland. It includes, among others CHP plants in Katowice, Tychy, Bielsko-Biała and Czechowice-Dziedzice. The total length of the heating network in the company's system is approximately 1000 km.
