Mostostal Warszawa will build a photovoltaic power plant PV Janikowo

11 March 2024

The investment involves comprehensive design and construction of a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 18.3 MW. The contract value is PLN 28.79 million net.

- Mostostal Warszawa emphasizes its active participation in the Polish energy transformation and decarbonization of the Polish energy system. Reducing CO2 emissions and achieving climate neutrality through participation in RES projects is one of the main goals we aim for in line with the principles of corporate social responsibility - says Jorge Calabuig Ferre, Vice President of Mostostal Warszawa Management Board.

The project will be executed on a turnkey basis (excluding panel supply) and includes the implementation of construction, road, electrical, energy, and telecommunications infrastructure for PV Janikowo (near Inowrocław). As part of the task, expansion of the existing GPO is also planned.

The construction of a photovoltaic power plant for PV Janikowo is the first Polish hybrid project, which involves connecting two independent RES installations (Photovoltaic Farm and Wind Farm) to one power source. To achieve this, bifacial module technologies and trackers, i.e., movable structures following the sun, will be used.

The power plant will consist of 30,500 panels. The main part of the contract is planned to be completed by September 30, 2025.

Obtaining the final permit for use in the scope of the network operator and the final acceptance protocol (obtaining FON) is expected to be completed by September 30, 2026.

The West Department of Mostostal Warszawa is responsible for the implementation of the task.
