Mostostal Warszawa showered with "Construction of the Year" prizes!

During the 25th anniversary edition of the most prestigious Polish construction competition entitled "Construction of the Year" – prizes were awarded for projects completed by Mostostal Warszawa in three categories two of which won the first place. The Company also received a special award on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the competition.

The Company also received a special award on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the competition.

Prizes were awarded at the 25th "Construction of the Year" Ceremony held on June 23 this year at the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations. The competition has been organized continuously for 25 years and this year the patronage over the event was provided by: Polish Association of Engineers and Construction Technicians, General Office of Building Control and Ministry of Infrastructure and Development. The competition's aim is to select construction facilities completed with exceptional results.

Mostostal Warszawa is the grand winner of this year's edition of the "Construction of the Year 2014" competition. It won two 1st prizes and one 3rd prize as well as the "Merit for the Polish Association of Engineering and Construction Technicians" title granted to companies whose projects awarded and distinguished on numerous occasions by market experts.


Earned titles:
• "Construction of the Year 2014” title and 1st prize in the "Facilities Assessed Individually" category for expanding the Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice.

The prize was received by Dariusz Bomba – Contract Manager at Mostostal Warszawa.
• "Construction of the Year 2014” title and 1st prize in the "Sport Facilities" category for building the TAURON Arena in Cracow.

The prize was received by Janusz Stanaszek, Southern Division Director and Jacek Mglej – Contract Manager at Mostostal Warszawa.
• 3rd prize in the "Industrial Facilities" category for completing the Municipal Waste Neutralization and Processing Plant in Sosnowiec.
The prize was received by Maciej Popiołek – Contract Manager at Mostostal Warszawa and Jan Boczar – Contractor's Representative – Team Manager.
• "Merit for the Polish Association of Engineering and Construction Technicians" title.
The prize was received by Alojzy Malczak – General Construction Division Manager at Mostostal Warszawa.

„The prizes won in the competition, which had been organized continuously for 25 years, is a great way to distinguish and honor the 70-year long tradition and engineering concepts of Mostostal Warszawa. Our accomplishments, market position and innovative approach to each of the completed projects have been noticed by market experts. By awarding us the "Merit for the Polish Association of Engineering and Construction Technicians" title they made our company being even more proud of the completed projects and gave us the energy needed to work on next projects. I would also like to extend my great appreciation and thanks to the teams that complete the awarded projects. Without your commitment and involvement - our success wouldn't have been possible," said Alojzy Malczak, General Construction Division Manager at Mostostal Warszawa.

Since 1990, the "Construction of the Year" competition has been attended by investors, contractors and designers – the authors of the largest and most interesting projects across Poland. 48 companies took part in the 25th anniversary edition of the competition with 43 making it to the final round and awarded at the special ceremony.
