Mostostal Warszawa Secures Contract for S8 Road Section Construction
Mostostal Warszawa will design and build a 7,94 km section of the S8 road between Niemcza and Ząbkowice Śląskie. The contract value is PLN 305,79 million gross.
- In the past, as part of a consortium, we completed the S8 route section from Konotopa to Prymasa Tysiąclecia Avenue in Warsaw, which became a key part of the capital's transport system. Today, we continue this tradition by engaging in new sections of this strategic route - said Sławomir Barczak, Infrastructure Area Director at Mostostal Warszawa. - I am confident that combining our professionalism, extensive experience, and effective cooperation with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways will enable us to complete the project on schedule and to the highest standards.
Project Details
The new section of the S8 will be a dual carriageway expressway with two lanes in each direction and an emergency lane. The route will follow a new alignment through the municipalities of Niemcza and Ząbkowice Śląskie. The project includes the construction of the Ząbkowice Śląskie North road junction (connecting with DK8 and the county road in Bobolice). Additionally, 19 engineering structures will be built, including four structures over the main route, six along it, and nine culverts.
Another Step in Infrastructure Development
The construction of the Niemcza–Ząbkowice Śląskie section is part of a larger project to expand the S8 expressway between Wrocław and Bardo, divided into six sections with a total length of 64 km. Mostostal Warszawa is contributing to the development of this crucial route, which will eventually connect Wrocław with Kłodzko and the Czech border, significantly improving regional transportation links.
The project will be carried out under the "Design and Build" system, meaning design work will precede construction. Completion is scheduled for the second half of 2028.
