Mostostal Warszawa receives ZRID decision for S19 Domaradz–Iskrzynia section

27 July 2025

The project carried out by Mostostal Warszawa for the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) – the construction of the S19 expressway section between Domaradz and Iskrzynia – has obtained the official Road Investment Implementation Permit (ZRID). This marks the green light for the commencement of construction work on-site.

- This is a significant milestone in the execution of one of the key infrastructure investments in the Podkarpackie region, part of the Via Carpatia route – an international transport corridor of strategic importance for Central and Eastern Europe. We are ready to carry out this project, which will serve both local residents and drivers for many years to come - says Sławomir Barczak, Infrastructure Area Director at Mostostal Warszawa.

Project Details

The contract covers the construction of approximately 12.5 kilometers of dual carriageway express road, with two traffic lanes and a hard shoulder in each direction. The design includes a number of impressive engineering structures, including seven viaducts (the longest of which will span around 700 meters and be supported by pillars up to 30 meters high), eight bridges, eight road overpasses, and three wildlife crossings.

Additionally, culverts and auxiliary structures along access roads will be built, as well as two Motorist Service Areas (MOPs) in the village of Zagórze – with the potential for future expansion to include fuel stations and food service facilities.

As part of the project, Mostostal Warszawa will also deliver technical and environmental infrastructure – including road safety features, a traffic management system, and environmental protection structures.

The contract, signed on November 7, 2022, is valued at nearly PLN 1.1 billion gross.

Obtaining the ZRID decision is the result of effective dialogue with partners and public institutions, as well as the commitment of our project team. We are ready to implement this demanding investment, which will improve transport accessibility in the region and contribute to its dynamic development.
