Mostostal Warszawa: Employee Safety is our Priority

Mostostal Warszawa once again took part in the Safety Week - an initiative undertaken by the Agreement for Safety in Construction, whose aim is to improve safety at Polish construction sites.

This year's, edition Safety Week is the sixth one and it was held on 13-19 May 2019 under the motto: "Never Do Not Cut Corners". As part of the event twelve  of the major general contractors in Poland, united their forces to increase safety and eliminate fatalities on construction sites.

- At Mostostal Warszawa, we approach the issues associated with employee safety as a priority. As a company with over 70 years of tradition in the Polish construction market, we stated loudly: there is no escape from uniform, clear and implemented health and safety rules - and this is an absolute must principle - says Jacek Szymanek, Member of the Board of Mostostal Warszawa.

As part of the Safety Week, employees of Mostostal Warszawa carried out a series of projects aimed at drawing the attention of employees and the entire business environment to the importance of modern, proactive solutions in the field of health and safety. During the Week, 390 employees of Mostostal and 1485 employees of subcontractors were trained (276 our subcontractors participated in the events). The main events included First Aid Championship for Safety in Construction, Performance of Children "Road Brain Teaser", Health and Safety, PIP Inspector's lectures, Rope access - securing works at heights and First Aid Training.

Mostostal Warszawa is a signatory member of the Agreement for Safety in Construction - an initiative created in August 2010 by the seven largest general contractors in Poland. The mission of the Agreement is to carry out activities aimed at raising the level of work safety culture in the construction industry, and the goal is to eliminate fatal accidents on Polish construction sites.
