Mostostal Warszawa completes construction of the new faculty of Psychology Building at the University of Warsaw

24 September 2025

Mostostal Warszawa has completed one of the most important educational projects in the capital – the new Faculty of Psychology building at the University of Warsaw. The facility, located in the heart of Warsaw’s Ochota district, offers a modern, functional, and environmentally friendly space for the academic community.

- Today’s completion is proof that thanks to determination and cooperation, it is possible to create a building that combines modernity, functionality, and environmental responsibility. On behalf of Mostostal Warszawa, we thank the University of Warsaw for its trust, and the entire team for their professionalism and daily efforts - said Marcin Kondraszuk, Member of the Management Board for Production Support and Organization at Mostostal Warszawa, during the official opening.

Challenges and unique engineering solutions

The construction of the new Faculty of Psychology building was a demanding task. From the very beginning, the goal of the Mostostal Warszawa team was to combine high-quality architecture with innovative technical solutions and care for the environment.

One of the greatest structural challenges was the concrete architectural grid above level “0,” created through the manual preparation of more than 2,800 unique elements. This solution required the highest precision and is a prime example of attention to detail throughout the implementation of the project.

Sustainable construction

The new building was designed and constructed in line with the principles of sustainable development. It is equipped with a 25 kW photovoltaic installation and a geothermal system based on 145 boreholes, each about 90 meters deep. Thanks to these features, the facility meets high energy efficiency standards and makes a real contribution to environmental protection.

Currently, the process is underway to obtain the prestigious BREEAM certification at the Very Good level, which will confirm the pro-ecological solutions implemented in the project.

The completed building is a modern space that will serve generations of students and staff at the University of Warsaw.
