Mostostal Warszawa awarded for innovative solutions in improvements in working conditions.
We are happy to announce that a team of authors from Mostostal Warszawa SA and the Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurement (PIAP) won third place in the 42nd National Competition of Improvements in Working Conditions organised by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
The award ceremony took place on December 2, 2014 in the Column Hall of the Polish Sejm. The statuette awarded to Mostostal Warszawa was collected by Mr. Jacek Szymanek, Member of the Management Board, and diplomas for the co-authors of the solutions were handed over to: Piotr Dymarski and Mateusz Zgutka from Mostostal Warszawa R[&]D Department.
The competition's aim is to include employers and employees in projects related to improvements in working conditions and to promote modern technical and organisational solutions that lead to improvements in safety and health protection in work environments.
Jointly with PIAP, our colleagues from Mostostal Warszawa R[&]D developed an innovative New Generation Concrete Power Heating System designed to improve working conditions at construction sites in high risk situations. Mostostal Warszawa applies the concrete mix electric heating method in low temperature concreting processes. The new concrete power heating system is lighter, and thus more mobile. It uses safe voltage rates permissible under highly hazardous conditions and allows measurement results to be forwarded via an SMS.
Other awarded solutions include: structure of an exhaust-free, heat-free battery-powered tractor, protection for work at heights, railway work alert systems and liquid-cooled protective clothing.
Congratulations to all the winners!
