The meeting was organized by representatives of "Agreement for the creation of buildingSMART Polska" - companies: Mostostal Warszawa, Hochtief, Warbud, Electra M[&]E Polska, Mota-Engil and ENGIE Technika Instalacyjna. During the meeting were presented objectives and goals of the Polish branch of the organization buildingSMART. The branch will officially start its activity from the beginning of 2019. - We hope that our initiative will become a forum for debate for all who strive for effective dissemination of BIM standards in the public and private sectors in Poland - said Jorge Calabuig Ferre, Vice-President of the Board of Mostostal Warszawa.

About 200 guests representing construction, design and technology sectors took part in the meeting. There were representatives of central administration as well as industry organizations and professional chambers and universities. A wide interest in the buildingSMART idea indicates the real need for a debate about the implementation of digital standards in construction sector.
