Mostostal Warszawa has summed up its 70 years of operating in the Polish market. During that time, it has erected hundreds of bridges, industrial and chemical plants, residential buildings, office and public utility buildings, roads, sport facilities and the first section of the Warsaw subway line. Over all these years, despite economic fluctuations in the market, the company has always been involved in key Polish construction projects and has been ranked the leading general contractor company in Poland.

Mostostal Warszawa

Mostostal Warszawa began its operation in 1945 with the construction of the Prince Józef Poniatowski Bridge in Warsaw as its first project. Equally important dates in the history of the company include the company’s privatisation (1991) and Warsaw Stock Exchange debut (two years later). In 1999, Mostostal Warszawa acquired the global construction company Acciona from Spain as a strategic partner and shareholder.

Mostostal Warszawa in Each Polish City
Over its 70 years of operation, Mostostal Warszawa has become an integral part of Warsaw's landscape by contributing to building and rebuilding numerous structures within the city limits. It built the majority of the bridges (7 in the capital city), the Rotunda, the Grand Theatre, the Royal Castle and the Sejm and revitalised Krakowskie Przedmieście. However, Mostostal is not only Warsaw. Over those 70 years, the company has been involved in building projects in each Polish city. These include: the revitalisation of the historic Silesian Philharmonic building, construction of two of the most modern sports and entertainment arenas – Tauron Arena in Krakow and Atlas Arena in Lodz, the world's largest bridge in terms of area – the Rędziński Bridge in Wrocław, the Masurian Philharmonic and the Concert Hall in Sosnowiec. Mostostal is also the contractor of the tallest office building in Europe – the Commerzbank Headquarters in Frankfurt.

"The 70 years of Mostostal Warszawa is, first and foremost, about the work commitment of tens of thousands of employees generating this company's most successful achievements over all those years. It is also the priceless support of clients and business partners, who we would like to thank for their participation in building our success! Taking into consideration the plans and the employees involved in executing these plans, we may rest assured about the future and position of Mostostal Warszawa in the Polish construction market." Miguel Angel HerasLlorente, Vice-Chairman of the Board and Director General.

Into the Future with Optimism
Currently, Mostostal Warszawa belongs to the group of leading Polish industrial enterprises and carries out its operations across all the major sectors of the construction market in Poland and abroad. The company's key project today involves one of the largest industrial projects in Europe – the construction of power units 5 and 6 at the Opole Power Plant, which according to the schedule will be completed at the beginning of 2019. Financial results are also optimistic – in the first quarter of 2015, Mostostal Warszawa reached PLN 239.23 million in revenues and recorded PLN 2.43 million in net profits against PLN 5.84 million the year before.
