This is a project of Echo Investment company, and Western Division of Mostostal Warszawa headed by Marzena Witkowska is general contractor. The scope of works realised by Mostostal Warszawa encompasses demolition a section of existing facility and carrying out the shell stage of the extension. In addition, the company will perform part of installations work such as e.g. underfloor systems, removal of the infrastructure energy collision and strengthening the soil using CMC columns.

Four-storey building with an underground garage will be linked with the existing part of the Galaxy centre. Ultimately, new part of the facility will be arranged in the shape of atrium with inner courtyard that will hold a role of a shopping and meeting place for inhabitants. The centre will be covered with glass dome providing natural daylight.   

– The project is situated in the centre of Szczecin. As a result, there isn’t much space for stacking area. What is more, blocks of homes placed nearby don’t make our task any easier. According to the environment decision, we can perform work only between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. We are trying to realise planned concreting in the evening to stay away from rush hours. Works on the site are progressing fast. The centre is getting new look each day – pointed out Jan Domański, contract manager at the extension of the Galaxy centre.
