Commentary of the Management Board of Mostostal Warszawa S.A. to the press conference with the participation of the President of the Management Board of RAFAKO S.A.
We present the position of the Management Board of Mostostal Warszawa S.A. on the statements of the President of the Management Board of RAFAKO SA regarding the possible consequences for Mostostal Warszawa S.A. in connection with the current situation of the Jaworzno Project.
Statements and opinions expressed by the President of the Management Board of RAFAKO S.A. during today's (January 12, 2023) press conference regarding the consequences for Mostostal Warszawa S.A. are not shared or authorized by the Management Board of Mostostal.
We maintain the information contained by Mostostal Warszawa SA in the Current Report of January 12 this year, i.e. that the liability related to the alleged breach of the contract or improper performance of works rests solely with RAFAKO SA, and since 2014, all parties involved in this project, primarily the Ordering Party - Tauron, are aware of the inactive status of our Company as a consortium member, and RAFAKO SA taking over 100% of contractual obligations, including any unforeseen situations arising therefrom.
Mostostal Warszawa has always acted in accordance with the Employer's expectations and supported the project from the very beginning as a passive partner of the consortium, precisely in order to enable the conclusion of the contract and its implementation out of concern for Poland's energy security. Therefore, Mostostal does not share the tone of the morning statements, treating them only as assessments of the President of the Management Board of RAFAKO SA.
Mostostal Warszawa is a solid and profitable company and is in no way threatened with bankruptcy, therefore we appeal to our Shareholders, Investors and Stakeholders to remain calm and support the Company.
