The construction of another facility for AGH is completed
From the coming academic year, students of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków will be able to use the new building of the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science. The investment was realized by Mostostal Warszawa.
The five-storey building is located on the AGH Campus at Reymonta Street in Kraków. It will perform teaching functions for the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science. There are rooms for Faculty employees, classrooms and laboratories, as well as lecture and seminar rooms. The task also included the reconstruction of the existing utilities and the road system.
- We are putting into operation another building for the AGH University of Science and Technology. The Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science joins such projects as the Center for Power Engineering, the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas and Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering. These projects confirm our quality of work and the trust that the university authorities have placed in us. Our team showed great commitment during the works, for which I would like to thank you. We are facing new challenges related to the construction of the AGH Sports Hall and I am convinced that in this case we will also meet our expectations - says Artur Sikora, Director of the Contract Group.
The Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science has the highest category of the scientific level - A +. The modern facility will enable the Faculty to create a basis for the development of solid state physics, medical physics, computer physics, applied computer science and biophysics as research directions. Mostostal Warszawa signed a contract for the construction of this building in September 2019. The value of the completed investment is PLN 37.33 million gross.
