Safety never ends - Mostostal Warszawa took part in the Safety Week
Mostostal Warszawa took part in the Safety Week - an initiative of the Agreement for Safety in Construction, which aims to improve safety on Polish construction sites.
This year's ninth edition was held from 23-29 May, and its theme was "Construction ends. Safety never". The leitmotif was the culture of safety, presented as a process which should involve values, concrete attitudes, meeting standards, but also educating our surroundings. As part of the campaign, Mostostal Warszawa employees carried out various initiatives to raise awareness of the importance of knowing safety rules and being able to use them in practice.
Our team once again showed great commitment. A total of 1913 people took part in the events organised as part of the Safety Week. 299 companies cooperated with us. A total of 75 events were organised on 15 of our construction sites. These included first aid and working at height demonstrations, lectures with experts as well as school visits.
- Occupational and process safety is our priority. We are glad that once again we could present a number of occupational health and safety initiatives not only at our construction sites, but also to the local community. I would like to thank everyone involved in the presented activities and promotion of safe work principles – says Jacek Szymanek, Member of the Management Board of Mostostal Warszawa.
Mostostal Warszawa is a signatory member of the Agreement for Safety in the Construction Industry - an initiative established in August 2010 by the seven largest general contractors in our country. The mission of the Agreement is to conduct activities aimed at raising the level of occupational safety culture in the construction industry, with the aim of eliminating fatal accidents on Polish construction sites.
