A new investment in Puławy. Mostostal will build a sport and entertainment hall for the city
On 8 June 2018, in the Puławy City Hall, President Janusz Grobel signed a contract with a constructor of sports hall. The best offer was submitted by a consortium of Mostostal Puławy and Mostostal Warszawa.
The entertainment and sports hall is the largest investment in Puławy for years. - We are pleased that the consortium of Mostostal Puławy and Mostostal Warszawa was chosen to carry out this important for Puławy investment. Mostostal has over seventy years of experience in the construction of various types of strategic investments. It indicates that the authorities of Puławy have made the right choice - says Jorge Calabuig Ferre, Vice President of the Board of Mostostal Warszawa S.A.
The hall will be placed at Lubelska st., on the site of a former sawmill and will be equipped with 1436 permanent places with the possibility of increasing the capacity to 3200 places after the telescopic tribunes have been disassembled. The object aims to replace the current hall and become a place for training and matches for handball players from KS AZOTY Puławy (bronze medalists of the Polish Championships), weight lifting section of Wisła Puławy, but will also be adapted to play volleyball and basketball. The building will be equipped with separate rooms for martial arts (including Taekwondo) and a gym. The new hall will also include place for wellness. The design of the hall meets the requirements of international sports associations for the organization of European matches and provides adequate conditions for television broadcasts.
The investor is the City of Puławy. The investment received funding from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism in the amount of PLN 17 million.
The contract worth less than PLN 87 million obliges the contractor to build a sports and entertainment hall in Puławy within 22 months - according to the investment schedule, the hall should be completed by the end of April 2020.
The investment will be implemented by a consortium of Mostostal Puławy (leader) and Mostostal Warszawa (partner). - I am convinced that the complementary experience of consortium members will result in synergy in our work. The unique value of the consortium is knowledge of the regional market and the attachment of Mostostal Puławy to the city, combined with international experience of the company - says Tadeusz Rybak, President of the Board of Mostostal Puławy.
