The “Builder” monthly awarded Mostostal Warszawa SA with a “Polish Hercules” title. Jarosław Popiołek, Mostostal’s CEO, collected the statuette given for the outstanding achievements in 2007. The ceremony took place on 26 February 2007 in the Polonia Palace Hotel in Warsaw.
On 20 February 2008, the Polish and Spanish Chamber of Commerce of which Mostostal Warszawa is a member, organized a working breakfast in the Marriott Hotel in Warsaw for member companies with the participation of Waldemar Pawlak, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy. The meeting was devoted to economic cooperation between Poland and Spain and the present market situation in our country.
Under the Operational Programme – Improvement of the Competitiveness of Enterprises, Mostostal has made a commitment to complete a project relating to ‘Construction Work Reinforcement Technology in the Event of Acts of Terrorism’. Innovative solutions will be developed in cooperation with the Military Academy of Technology (WAT).
In Sweden, the employees of Mostostal Warszawa R[&]D Department presented technological solutions they had created as part of the Manubild project. This was possible through a cooperative effort with the joint participation of NCC Construction Sverige AB, a Swedish company belonging to a consortium in charge of the project. Mostostal was present in Scandinavia from January 28 to February 1.
In the period between 28 January and 1 February 2008 in Sweden, employees of Analysis and Developmetn Department of Mostostal Warszawa demonstrated technological solutions created under the Manubuid project.
On 31 January 2008 in Warsaw, Mostostal Warszawa SA participated in science and technical conference titled “Aquaeductus 2008”, which dealt with the topic of water pipelines and sewage systems: theory and practice at the turn of 21st century. Mostostal Warszawa SA signed a deal with Przedsiębiorstwo Napraw Infrastruktury Sp. z o. o. for reconstruction of railway overbridge in Warsaw located on the railway line between Eastern Warsaw and Legionowo. The investment project will be executed under the project titled “Modernization of E-65 railway line, section between Warsaw and Gdynia, Stage 2, Poland” co-financed from EU funds. Wrocław based Wrobis SA, a subsidiary of Mostostal Warszawa, has signed a deal with Archicom Cadenza Hallera Sp. z o.o. for the construction of a complex of three residential buildings. The new structures will be located at Hallera street in Wrocław. The contract is worth net PLN 80.8 million and it is scheduled for completion by the end of May 2010.
Consortium, with the participation of Mostostal Warszawa SA, will build a stretch of S8 express road from the village of Konotopa to Prymasa Tysiąclecia Avenue in Warsaw for the National Directorate for Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA). Mostostal will cooperate with Budimex-Dromex SA, as the leader, Strabag Sp. z o.o. and Warbud SA. Mostostal Warszawa SA was one of the sponsors of the festive concert to celebrate Christmas and New Year organized by the Ministry to Artists and Sportsmen of the Warsaw–Praga Diocese and Praga Północ District Office. It was held on 20 January in St. Florian's Cathedral in Warsaw.
For Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji SA (MPWiK) Mostostal Warszawa SA will modernize water treatment technology process in the Northern Pipeline Plant. The contract was concluded on 18 January 2008. Two days later, the details of the investment project were revealed at press conference at Investor’s premises.
Wrobis SA, the subsidiary of Mostostal Warszawa, concluded with Wrocławski Park Technologiczny SA a contract for the construction of “Centre of Innovative Business Building – Stage 1”. The project is worth approx. PLN 20 million and is to be completed within 12 months.
