Mostostal Warszawa SA completed the execution of A20 ‘Słodowiec’ metro station. To celebrate this event, on 17 April 2008, the meeting of all employees engaged in the construction process was held at site facilities. Sebastian Bogaczyk, engineer from the Civil Engineering Division of Mostostal Warszawa was the site engineer of this contract.
On 10 April 2008, in small lecture hall of the Warsaw University of Technology Mostostal Warszawa together with the University organized a meeting to convince girls from senior high schools to study at technical universities and departments. The event titled “Girls to Technical Universities” that was participated by almost all technical schools in Poland was organized by “Perspektywy” Educational Foundation and the Conference of Chancellors of Polish Technical
On 7 April 2008, Mostostal Warszawa SA and the Italian based Xender company signed a contract for the execution of the 2nd phase of the “Eolian Park” residential estate at Ryżowa St. in Warsaw. The contract is to be completed within 5 months and is worth ca. PLN 42 million.
“Akogo” foundation established by the actress Ewa Błaszczyk contracted Mostostal Warszawa SA to execute a shell and core of the “Budzik” (alarm clock) clinic where children with serious brain injuries will be treated and rehabilitated. The contract was signed on 25 march 2008. The building will be located on the plot of land lent by the Child Health Center in Międzylesie. The clinic and the center will be connected with a sort of a link building.
Technical School Complex in Radom asked Mostostal Warszawa to hold a lecture during the 4th National Seminar on "Renewable Energy Sources" organized by the school. It took place on 11 March in the Mechanical Department of the Radom University of Technology. Mostostal's lecture given by Juliusz Żach, technical engineer in the Analysis and Development Division in Mostostal focused upon the "Execution of zero emission building - office building in Spain".
“Informedia Polska”, one of the greatest training companies, asked Mostostal Warszawa to participate in a congress titled “Employer Branding”. Agnieszka Kuźma –Filipek, the head of Mostostal’s Public Relations department, represented the company and delivered a presentation on how to create a good employer image on the market. The event gathering PR and HR specialists took place on 6 and 7 March in the InterContinetal Hotel in Warsaw.
For the second time, the Polish Association of Construction Sector Employers invited the greatest construction companies, among them Mostostal Warszawa SA, to participate in the 9th International Education Exhibition "Perspektywy 2008 Presentation of General Education High Schools and Technical High Schools" held in the Warsaw Expo XXI Centre on 6 to 8 March 2008.
Two companies from the Mostostal Warszawa Group: Mostostal Warszawa and Mostostal Puławy were contracted by the City of Łódź to carry out the first stage of the construction of the multifunctional sports hall to be located at 2 Unia Lubelska Av. in Łódź. The contract worth ca. PLN 105 million was signed on 25 February 2008.
The “Builder” monthly awarded Mostostal Warszawa SA with a “Polish Hercules” title. Jarosław Popiołek, Mostostal’s CEO, collected the statuette given for the outstanding achievements in 2007. The ceremony took place on 26 February 2007 in the Polonia Palace Hotel in Warsaw.
On 20 February 2008, the Polish and Spanish Chamber of Commerce of which Mostostal Warszawa is a member, organized a working breakfast in the Marriott Hotel in Warsaw for member companies with the participation of Waldemar Pawlak, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy. The meeting was devoted to economic cooperation between Poland and Spain and the present market situation in our country.
Under the Operational Programme – Improvement of the Competitiveness of Enterprises, Mostostal has made a commitment to complete a project relating to ‘Construction Work Reinforcement Technology in the Event of Acts of Terrorism’. Innovative solutions will be developed in cooperation with the Military Academy of Technology (WAT).
In Sweden, the employees of Mostostal Warszawa R[&]D Department presented technological solutions they had created as part of the Manubild project. This was possible through a cooperative effort with the joint participation of NCC Construction Sverige AB, a Swedish company belonging to a consortium in charge of the project. Mostostal was present in Scandinavia from January 28 to February 1.
