On 20 June 2008, Wrobis SA, the company from the Mostostal Warszawa Capital Group celebrated its 60th Anniversary. The event took place in the Wrocław Opera House.

The Warsaw Division, responsible in Mostostal Warszawa for execution of capital’s .. and public utility buildings received from Realia Polska Inwestycje Sp. z o.o a contract for construction of a residential building on the Warsaw’s Mokotów district.

Mostostal Warszawa SA supported the organization of “Ursynów Days”, one of the greatest outdoor events in the Ursynów city district that took place on 14 and 15 June 2008. it was organized by Grupa Biznesu Calmein Sp. z o.o. and Ursynów District Office.

Since the beginning of June 2008, Mostostal Warszawa has signed contracts worth over PLN 270 million. For Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań Mostostal will build a sports hall and for Polimex-Mostostal it will execute construction and assembly works under the project titled “Construction of Terephthalic (PTA) Acid Production Facility” in Włocławek.

Consortium of Mostostal Warszawa SA (the leader), Acciona Infrastruktura SA, STRABAG Sp. z o.o., STRABAG AG, Ed. Züblin AG, DYWIDAG International GmbH, DYWIDAG Bau GmbH and Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń Pebeka SA has placed the most interesting offer for the construction of the central section of the 2nd metro line.

On 17 May 2008, during the Great Student Parade that invaded the streets of the capital Warsaw students announced their rule in the city. Similarly, as last year, Mostostal Warszawa supported the Civil Engineering Department of the Warsaw University of Technology in preparations to this event. The company sponsored ‘Juwenalia’ theme t-shirts and gadgets invented especially for the occasion.

By the end of May 2008, Mostostal Warszawa signed contracts worth ca. one billion polish zlotys. More than half of that amount is covered by the contract concluded with GDDKiA with in Wrocław for the construction of one of the greatest cable stayed bridges on the world along the motorway ring road of the Wrocław city.

Mostostal Warszawa organized a lecture for students on technologies used by the company at the construction of the Bielany district metro line. In December students of Mining and Geology Faculty of the Silesian University of Technology visited our premises and on 9 May we met with the students of the Transport Department of the Warsaw University of Technology.

Mostostal Warszawa SA completed the execution of A20 ‘Słodowiec’ metro station. To celebrate this event, on 17 April 2008, the meeting of all employees engaged in the construction process was held at site facilities. Sebastian Bogaczyk, engineer from the Civil Engineering Division of Mostostal Warszawa was the site engineer of this contract.

On 10 April 2008, in small lecture hall of the Warsaw University of Technology Mostostal Warszawa together with the University organized a meeting to convince girls from senior high schools to study at technical universities and departments. The event titled “Girls to Technical Universities” that was participated by almost all technical schools in Poland was organized by “Perspektywy” Educational Foundation and the Conference of Chancellors of Polish Technical

On 7 April 2008, Mostostal Warszawa SA and the Italian based Xender company signed a contract for the execution of the 2nd phase of the “Eolian Park” residential estate at Ryżowa St. in Warsaw. The contract is to be completed within 5 months and is worth ca. PLN 42 million.

“Akogo” foundation established by the actress Ewa Błaszczyk contracted Mostostal Warszawa SA to execute a shell and core of the “Budzik” (alarm clock) clinic where children with serious brain injuries will be treated and rehabilitated. The contract was signed on 25 march 2008. The building will be located on the plot of land lent by the Child Health Center in Międzylesie. The clinic and the center will be connected with a sort of a link building.
