Young Engineer's Day - Second workshop for young engineers
Tomorrow in the Warsaw Złote Tarasy Multikino the Young Engineer’s Day will be held. During this event, prospective engineers will be able to participate in lectures and workshops conducted by experts from the civil construction sector. Mostostal Warszawa has set up a special stand, in which it will be possible to visit the construction site in virtual reality and listen to a lecture of our expert concerning the implementation of the CKK Jordanki.
Young Engineer’s Day is a sectoral initiative, the objective of which is widely understood promotion of Polish engineering technology and supporting your people in acquiring professional knowledge and practical abilities. The programme is addressed to students of construction faculties and at young engineers. Key sectoral organisations and leading construction companies support in such a way the young employees in starting their professional career. Mostostal Warszawa belongs to a group of strategic partners of the Programme.
Specially for the needs of this event Mostostal Warszawa has prepared a stand-in which thanks to virtual reality and models developed in the BIM technology it will be possible to make a walk over the recently started construction site of a building that was almost of zero-energy of the Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Management Engineering of the Poznań University of Technology. Each young engineer will have the opportunity of becoming familiar with the construction site model and talk to experts of Mostostal Warszawa related to the BIM technology, as well as possibilities of having an internship, practical training or employment in the enterprise. Representatives of the Personnel department have prepared for the visitors a lot of tasks and technical competitions so that future engineers could verify their knowledge and abilities. The possibility of having a job interview with company recruiters will contribute to becoming prepared for potential challenges posed by the labour market to young people.
Persons curious about new knowledge and technological innovations will be able to participate in a lecture to be provided by Krzysztof Mamuszka, works manager of Mostostal Warszawa, who is going to speak to students about the off-standard structure and revolutionary technological solutions applied during the implementation of CKK Jordanki. This facility, which has obtained such prizes as for example Bryła Roku [Structure of the Year], Modernisation of the Year or the award of SARP (Association of Polish Architects), is a perfect example of a project full of challenges that had to be faced by our engineers.
