Civil engineering

The first task and the starting point of company’s activities in 1945 was the reconstruction of the Poniatowski Bridge in Warsaw. Over the ensuing years, Mostostal Warszawa has been entrusted with contracts for the execution of all bridges in the capital city.

The company has profound expertise in all types of civil engineering and road construction projects, undertaking execution of the most complicated and technically demanding bridge structures. The Group is one of few enterprises in the country to participate in construction of practically all cable stayed bridges in Poland i.e. two in Warsaw, one in Płock and one in Gdańsk.

At the moment, we are the General Contractor for the bridge over the Odra River along the motorway ring road of Wrocław. It is a cable stayed, concrete structure of total length of 1.75 km with access overbridges. It will have the highest, i.e. 122 m, high pylon in Poland.

An important element of the civil engineering activities is the execution of underground structures based on Company’s experience gained during the execution of the Bielany section of the Warsaw metro line no. 1. The project encompassed concurrent construction of three stations and three tunnels along a 2 km long work front.
